Psi Chi is
the national honor society in psychology. Davidson College has
a new chapter as of the spring of 1999. We plan to hold an induction
ceremony each fall and spring to welcome new members.
Requirements for membership include:

completion of at least 3 psychology
courses
-
a declared psychology major (center majors
may also qualify, please speak with a Psi Chi advisor)
-
a rank
in the upper 35% of your class in general scholarship
-
a
minimum psychology GPA of 3.00
Psi Chi members may
present research papers at national and regional conventions;
are eligible to win awards based on their research;
and may apply for undergraduate research grants (typical range of
$500-$750).

Most of our events will be Psych Club/Psi Chi events, although
the induction ceremonies will be specifically for Psi Chi members.
If you meet the requirements listed above, you are eligible to
apply for membership. If you are interested, please contact a
Psi Chi advisor or student officer.
