The Hamilton House- also known as the Applied Psychology Building- houses faculty members who conduct professional psychology- research and applied- with the broader community. Besides Dr. Barton’s Clinical work, Dr. John Kello, an Industrial-Organizational psychologist, conducts consultations and training for clients or other professionals in our conference room. Dr. Kristi Multhaup, a Cognitive Aging psychologist, conducts research and promotes student community-building and service with older adults in her laboratory complex on the first floor. The house is over 100 years old, and is described in histories of the town of Davidson and Davidson College. Its location on a major road on the periphery of Davidson’s campus and its proximal parking make it convenient for research participants or professional clients to find our consultation rooms or laboratories.
The Clinical Research Laboratory is housed on the second floor of Hamilton House. There is a Main Observation Room with seating for participants in clinical observations or analogue studies. The Main Observation Room is flanked by observation windows from Dr. Barton’s office on the one side, and from a Laboratory Control Room on the other. Click on the door to learn about Clinical Research at Davidson. |
