Solo Opportunities
Solo performances include full recitals, half recitals, shared group recitals, and regular "performance forums," where students are given the opportunity to perform for their peers in venue designed to be a performance preparation.
Performing opportunities exist for singers through opera and musical theater scenes offered each year, as well as through recitals. Master classes are also provided each semester by invited experts in the field of vocal music. Participation in competitions such as the National Association of Singing Teachers statewide student auditions is encouraged and has proven to be a highly successful forum for Davidson students in previous years.
Student instrumentalists are often featured as concerto soloists with The College Symphony Orchestra.
