Professor Wertheimer's teaching specialties include modern U.S. history and legal history. His research interests range from civil liberties in the United States to family law in Latin America.   He also has collaborated with Davidson students on several articles regarding North Carolina's legal history.  In 2005-2006, Professor Wertheimer will be the Kendrick Kelley Program Director.
